William J. Rothwell, Ph.D., SPHR – Penn State University

No one is any more knowledgeable today about succession planning and talent management than Bill Rothwell. Bill is a widely published author in human resources strategy, talent management, competency design and succession planning. He is a Professor of Human Resource Development in the Department of Learning and Performance Systems on the University Park Campus of the Pennsylvania State University.
As a consultant, Bill has worked with over 30 multinational corporations. As an academic, he heads up the #1-ranked graduate program in HRD in the United States. Bill is one of the most published authors on topics of talent management, succession planning and human capital management systems, having authored, coauthored, edited, or co edited more than 300 books, book chapters and articles. Bill is a frequent speaker or keynoter at conferences and seminars around the world.
Alan Lindsay, President / CEO – PLS Consulting, Inc.

Alan is founder, President and CEO of PLS Consulting with offices in Portland, Seattle and Dallas. Since 1985 he has been a leading practitioner in the design and development of Systems for Human Capital Management.
Alan’s expertise stems from a concentration on organizational performance improvement by linking succession planning, talent management, workforce planning and strategies, and knowledge management and transfer systems into integrated solutions. Alan has worked with clients throughout North America and in Australia. He has conducted workshops and presentations at national and regional conferences for ASTD and SHRM. Alan is a executive coach to executives and management personnel.
